Suma Kallay

When the way you’ve been living no longer works.

Private immersion · Southern Costa Rica

Enter a private two-week immersion within a family and land-based way of life, grounded in rhythm, relationship, responsibility, ceremony, and direct experience.

Knowing what needs to change is not the same as living differently.

Why people come here

  • A relationship is under strain.
  • A habit has become destructive.
  • A health challenge is not resolving.
  • A previous medicine experience left questions unanswered.
  • Outward success has not brought fulfillment.

The common thread is simple:

The same conditions can keep reinforcing the same patterns.

The conditions are part of the work.

A different environment

The immersion takes place within our family homestead, where daily life is shaped by three foundations:

  1. Rhythm

A steady pattern of sleep, movement, meals, time outside, and rest gives the body room to settle.

  2. Relationship

Shared meals, family life, and ordinary interactions can reveal familiar patterns and offer opportunities to practice different responses.

  3. Responsibility

Responsibility becomes practical through participation, honest observation, and the choices and tasks of daily life.

The foundations remain consistent. The emphasis changes with the person.

The activities change. The rhythm remains.

A lived rhythm

  • Morning Movement
  • River & Nature
  • Shared Meals
  • Meditation
  • Breathwork
  • Creative Practice
  • Coaching
  • Land Work
  • Steam Sauna
  • Ceremony
  • Family Life
  • Rest & Solitude

Willingness matters most.

Readiness over circumstance

A strong fit is someone prepared to follow a steady rhythm and participate in daily life. They are open to guidance, willing to examine familiar patterns honestly, and ready to take responsibility for what happens next.

You do not need to arrive with a clear explanation. You do need to be willing to take part.

A reference point you can return to.

Beyond the immersion

The immersion is temporary. Its value lies in experiencing another way of living directly, then deciding what you want to carry into life at home.

Private by design

Each one- or two-week immersion is completely private, allowing the rhythm, guidance, and emphasis to be shaped around those who are here.

  • Individual Immersion

Come on your own for an immersion shaped around where you are now, what matters most, and the life you want to create.

  • Couples & Families

Come with your partner or family for an immersion shaped around your relationships, your shared life, and what you want to create together.

“I found myself excited to do things that had never been part of my life.”

In his words

“I got to spend time with a beautiful family in a stable situation. Getting into a circadian rhythm and waking up with the sun was not really my style. But I found myself sitting on this rock every morning at 5:12, then we’d start a light workout.”

Sharing love in a circle.

Suma Kallay

The name comes from the Inga language. Michael and Yara studied with an Inga elder in Putumayo, Colombia, who helped us choose it. He described it as the highest form of sharing love: to share it in a circle.

For us, the name is both an intention and a standard: love shared in relationship, with each person present and taking part.

Meet the Family and Land

The first step is a short inquiry.

Begin a conversation

Tell us what is bringing you here. Michael will reply personally, and together you can decide whether a conversation makes sense.

  1. 01

    Short Inquiry

Share your name and a brief note about what is leading you to reach out.

  2. 02

    Personal Reply

Michael replies personally with current availability and the investment for each format.

  3. 03

    Private Conversation

If there may be a fit, you and Michael will speak privately. You can share more of your story, ask questions, and decide together whether moving forward feels right.
